  • Physical Education (PE)

Colham Manor recognises that schools have a fundamental role to play in supporting all children to live healthy
active lives. This is particularly true of primary school where the foundations of positive and enjoyable participation in regular physical activity should be established.

At Colham Manor, we understand the value of Physical Education (P.E). Our P.E. vision is that we provide all children with two hours of active movement every week as well as additional activity sessions such as 'active lunchtimes' led by PSD coaches and our Year 6 sports ambassadors. These embody our school values: aspire, achieve and thrive as we want to keep the children healthy and active every day and give them lifelong skills to participate in physical activity.

We fully adhere to the aims of the national curriculum for physical education to ensure that all pupils:

    • develop competence to excel in a broad range of physical activities
    • are physically active for sustained periods of time
    • engage in competitive sports and activities
    • lead healthy, active lives
