Sports Ambassadors

In January of 2025 we introduced 6 new Sports Ambassadors to add to our “Active Playtime Team.” Our team consists of one boy and one girl from each year group in Key Stage 2, and their role during playtime is to lead different playground games for children. This has been a great opportunity for our sports ambassadors to communicate effectively and build new relationships between children of different age groups during lunchtime.
Athletics Team
Mr Bevis & Mr Story took the athletics team to Swakeleys school for their first indoor athletics competition of the academic year. The team performed brilliantly, not only in the events but also when cheering on their teammates! We placed 3rd in the competition and pupils are training hard before school to ensure we improve on our events at Quad Kids!

Girls' Football Tournament
The girls had a brilliant time competing in a well-run football tournament at Hillingdon Sports & Leisure Complex. The team narrowly missed out on a place in the semi-finals but played some excellent football in the process, with all players contributing to a fantastic overall performance!

Our 'Change for Life' Initiative

Mr Bevis and Mr Story routinely take targeted pupils out for “Change for Life” interventions, where children are given the opportunity to learn and develop new skills within sport and exercise previously unavailable to them. “Change for Life” interventions range in nature, from movement breaks, to occupational therapy sessions, to additional support in the pupil’s current PE learning, Children are given more time to ensure they are on the stairway to success.
SEND Bowling Event

In December, we attended a SEN bowling event at Park Royal. The children loved participating in the event alongside other schools, with some children admitting it was their first time bowling! The event was well organised and gave the pupils the opportunity to learn new physical and social skills as part of a team.
“I had lots of fun and want to come back again next year.” - Jelani

'Pupils Versus Staff' Football Match
In the summer of 2024, members of staff challenged the year 6 boys’ and girls’ football team to an end-of-year leavers’ football match on the field. The fixture had plenty of support, with pupils, parents, and members of staff all coming to support both sides. The day was stolen by Mr Ayubi’s fantastic tackle on Jake, and a great performance off the bench by Mrs Petherwick!
