Let's Communicate

At Colham Manor Primary School we recognise the importance of early communication skills and how it is a foundation which helps children develop across all other areas of learning. In the EYFS, there are three parts to communication and language development; listening/attention, understanding and speaking. As children learn to talk they need to develop early communication skills in order to build their foundations for literacy and wider learning. In addition to early reading opportunities, quality interactions and being immersed in a language rich learning environment, we deliver 'Let's Communicate', a communication curriculum that we have designed to meet children's individual starting points of their communicative skills.
