Uniform Information
At Colham Manor all children must wear their uniform when attending school, or when participating in a school-organised event outside normal school hours.
Jewellery:
On health and safety grounds we do not allow children to wear jewellery in our school. The exceptions to this rule are small plain gold or silver studs in pierced ears, small discreet watches and small objects of religious significance. We ask the children to either remove these objects during PE and games, or cover them with ‘micro pore’ in line with our PE/Health and Safety policies, to prevent them from causing injury. This is provided by our Welfare Officer. Pupils should not wear ear-rings if they are attending swimming lessons.
Hair:
Hair accessories such as hair-bands should be discreet and black, white, navy or grey in colour. Long hair should be tied up at all times.
Footwear:
For health and safety reasons, pupils must wear flat, closed toe footwear that is dark in colour. Boots should not be worn as they can present a health and safety risk.
PE:
Our P.E. kit consists of a plain white t-shirt and black / navy shorts. In KS1 pupils need to have plimsolls in school and in KS2, trainers are worn for PE lessons. Sometimes KS2 pupils require tracksuit bottoms for colder weather. These must be black / navy. All pupils need to ensure that their PE kit is in school.
