5. Familiarisation Opportunities

We encourage visits to the nursery before the start date: 'stay and play' events'. These visits allow your child to explore the environment, meet the staff, and engage in activities, making it a familiar and welcoming place from day one. Look out for these on our 'dates for the diary' section or contact admissions@colham.org to find out when our next stay and play event is.

We welcome comfort items like a favorite stuffed animal or blanket that can provide reassurance during the early days. Familiar items from home can help bridge the transition.
